Clarity of possibilities

Most of the limitations you experience are largely defined, supported and given
energy by your own perceptions. Change those perceptions, genuinely raise
your expectations, and the limitations will begin to melt away.

The experience of limitation is only one way, out of many possible ways you
have, for relating to a particular situation. You are always free to make
another choice, to relate to your circumstances in a more positive, empowering
way.

Though one approach may be blocked, it is only one of many possible approaches.
Limitations are always finite, yet the number of positive possibilities is
unlimited.

Whatever is holding you back is doing so because you have accepted it as
something that's holding you back. Imagine what would happen if you
accepted, with just as much certainty, the very real possibility of moving
forward.

Are you looking at the world through the fog of limitation or are you seeing
the bright, shining clarity of your best possibilities? The way you choose to
perceive where you are can make a world of difference in where you end up going.

PROMISE YOURSELF

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the
best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your
own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of
the future.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you
meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to
criticise others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and to
happy to permit the presence of trouble.

Be encouraged fellow Cooks!

PUT YOURSELF INTO IT

The value of what you do will depend on the value you put into it. Success is
determined not so much by what it is you do as by the passion and meaning you
put into it.

In any field of endeavor that you can imagine, there are those people who enjoy
astounding success as well as those who are downright miserable. And if you look
closely you'll see that the difference very often is determined by what they
each put into what they do.

Whatever is to be done, whether it is a phone conversation, a career, a day at
the beach, or a routine task, it is an opportunity for you to contribute
something of yourself. And by doing so in a positive, creative and enthusiastic
way, you can bring about real, lasting value.

To get something out of it, to make something valuable of it, whatever it may
be, put the best of
yourself into it. Rather than worrying that life has dealt
you a lousy hand, set about to play that hand exquisitely and in your own
special way.

Every moment of every day, whatever the situation, is an opportunity for you to
add value to your world. Put something good and useful into it, something
uniquely you. Put yourself into it and you'll find delight, enjoyment, and
fulfillment in what becomes of it.

Hot Potato Topic August #1

Hey Cooks
Its August and we're enjoying summer! I thank Conservative Connie for filling in and think we should continue on the encouragement track in light of the state of not just our country but the world. I wish there were not bad guys, no terrorists, no bad cops, no gangs, no racial disparity. Unfortunately my dreams are just that dreams...until everyone wants to be their personal best...well the world will continue to be what it is.
Okay here is this week's encouragement
The Chef
Energy of frustration

Within every frustration is the power to move forward. After all, you could not
be frustrated if you did not also know for certain that things could indeed be
better.

The more frustrated you feel, the more you are ready, willing and able to move
beyond that frustration with positive and effective action. Though it may be
quite painful, frustration also is a powerful motivator.

Frustration has its positive, empowering elements as well as its negative,
dismaying ones. Remove the resentment and self pity from your frustration, and
what you have left is pure, positive energy.

Remove the anger and the blame, and you uncover drive, ambition, persistence.
Not only can frustration spur you into action and keep you going, it can do so
in ways that enable you to clearly focus on what needs to be done.

When there is frustration, there is opportunity. Where there is frustration,
there is an underlying positive energy that's anxious to spring into action.
Don't let your frustration get the best of you or get you down. Instead,
know that it's positively compelling you to move forward, and make use of
the considerable energy that your frustration gives you to do just that.
